Registered under the TamilNadu Societies Registration Act 1975, Reg. No: 152/97, located in 5/855, Rohini garden, 1st plot Iyappa chettiyarkadu, Algapuram pudur, Salem.16. This home is run by an ex Schoenstatt sister of Mary, who was not able to continue her service as a sister due to deterioration in her health. But this did not affect her enthusiasm in serving the god through the poorest and neediest because of her dedication. This vividly made her to start this home.
Founder
Sister Celine Augustine Mary
The founder and establisher of this home – LOTUS. She hails from B.Pallipatti, small village in Dharmapuri district. Right from her childhood, she had the urge to serve God through the poor and needy destitutes.She joined as nun belonging to Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary and her devotion and strong determination in her service made her to dedicate herself to the under privileged. When the home was started, she was not employed but later she got a government job as secondary grade teacher. The earning alone was not sufficient for running this home; she hopes, it is God, the father who helps her in running the home through her parents and benefactors.
